Remote Tower Control now operational at International Airport Saarbrücken in Germany

Remote Tower Control now operational at International Airport Saarbrücken in Germany. This morning, on 4 December, air traffic controllers from DFS have begun controlling traffic at Saarbrücken Airport from its Remote Tower Control Centre 450 kilometres away to the east in Leipzig. With around 11.000 flight movements per year, Saarbrücken is the largest airport in the world where daily operations are controlled remotely. DFS will use the new technology to control traffic at Erfurt and Dresden airports from Leipzig as well. https://lnkd.in/d4zYuzc
