Indra, together with its partners HungaroControl and Avinor, is organising a webinar on the 16 February 2022, which will present:

  • Multiple remote towers – perspectives by HungaroControl and Avinor
  • Validation scenarios and results – Multi-remote tower operations from a remote tower centre with the support of a supervisor
  • Validation and results – Automatic speech recognition

During the autumn of 2021, controllers, aerodrome flight information service officer (AFISOs) and supervisors from Avinor went through a set of five validation scenarios where various operational challenges were introduced. The combination of tower and approach services in a multi remote operation was also validated.

ATCOs and supervisors from HungaroControl participated in a similar real time simulation exercise, focusing on the dynamic allocation of aerodromes in a multi remote tower environment. Automatic speech recognition, part of PJ.05 Solution 97.2, was also validated.

The validations were based on Indra’s InNOVA Tower System and Garex Voice Communication System, and the BEST 3D TWR simulator from Micro Nav.

The webinar aims to summarise presentations and findings from the open day at Indra’s premises in Norway on 30 November, 2021.
