The SESAR2020 PJ.05-W2-35 project partners DLR, Frequentis, and the Lithuanian and Polish Air Navigation Service Providers Oro Navigacija and PANSA are pleased to invite you to the SESAR PJ.05-35 Multi Remote Tower Online Open Day on 6 December 2021 from 13:00 to 14:15 CET.
What is the Online Open Day about?
You will experience the highlights of the validation exercises related to SESAR2020 solution 35 addressing the operational improvement step SDM-210 “Highly Flexible Allocation of Aerodromes to Remote Tower Modules”, which are performed at DLR premises in Braunschweig these days.
The online event on 6 December will focus on the supervisor position and advanced planning tools to optimise the allocation of aerodromes, air traffic control officers (ATCOs), and operator working positions for large Remote Tower Centers with multiple connected aerodromes.
In a real-time human-in-the-loop simulation, two real ATCOs control up to three aerodromes each via two separate multiple Remote Tower Modules (mRTMs). An additional real supervisor ATCO acts in the back and, assisted by a planning tool, handles 15 aerodromes to find an optimal allocation of mRTMs and ATCOs to these aerodromes.
The Online Open Day will be rounded off by a panel discussion with the participating partners.
We are looking forward to welcoming you!
